Ponds, channels, lakes & rivers

USGS 3DHP hydrography within the Guana area. Zoom and pan to inspect mapped ponds and marsh channels. Monitoring stations are shown for orientation.

Important: A mapped channel is not automatically a safe or navigable kayak route, and a mapped pond is not automatically confirmed alligator habitat. Guana Guide field notes can be added as a separate curated layer later.

About the data

Water quality: Florida SEACAR Program 5014, Guana River and Guana Lake Water Quality Monitoring.

Plankton: NOAA Phytoplankton Monitoring Network observations.

Map: U.S. Geological Survey 3D Hydrography Program (3DHP), stored locally as GeoJSON.

Future: GTM NERR SWMP/CDMO regional comparison and near-real-time telemetry can be added later without changing the dashboard structure.
